About Era

Era commenced trading on 28th September 2006 following the closure for redevelopment of the most awarded Brisbane restaurant of the past 7 years, Circa. Former Circa owners, father and son team Bob and Brad Hamilton, moved their entire team, to the new South Brisbane location.

With the new location came new partners: Bob’s daughter Melinda Wright and long-time Restaurant Manager of Circa, Paul Morris, and a new focus…a more casual style of dining than Circa but with the same emphasis on outstanding service, spectacular food and the best wines Australia and the world has to offer.

About our Executive Chef – Marcus Turner
With the vacation of the Executive Chef’s role by Michelin Star-trained Andrew Budgen in 2007, long time Head Chef at both Circa and Era, Marcus Turner, has relished the opportunity to take on the ‘top job’.

Having worked alongside Andy for several years as a key member of the multi-award winning Circa kitchen team, Marcus has the skills, drive and passion to make his own unique mark on the Brisbane dining landscape……and, several years on, that’s just what he has achieved!
